Optional insurance is the insurance branch that allows you to optionally pay premiums and retire with deposited premiums without having to work in any workplace, active tax registration, company partnership registration or farming registration. There are certain conditions to be optionally insured. Turkish citizens living in Turkey and in countries where a social security agreement has not been signed while residing in Turkey;
a) Not working in a way that requires compulsory insurance subject to Law No. 5510, or working less than 30 days in a month or not working full time while working as an insured,
b) Not being paid a pension due to his/her own insurance,
c) Having completed the age of 18,
d) Those who apply to the Social Security Institution with a written application can apply.
Insurance Branches with Optional Premium Payments:
Optional bonds (4b), Optional Additional 5 agricultural insurance (4a), Optional insurance for housewives, Optional pension fund for those who have completed a certain period of time in the Retirement Fund.

Optional Bagkur (4B)
In order to be able to pay premiums within the scope of optional bond;
Not to work in any job, to have no records such as farming registration, tax registration, company partnership registration in the Chamber of Agriculture, ultimately, it should not be retired.
Optional Appendix 5 Agricultural insurance
Premiums paid in this context are considered as services within the scope of 4A, that is, SSK. In order to be an additional 5 agricultural insurance;
It is required to be working as a casual, daily worker in agricultural or forestry works. Those who do not deal with agricultural work should not pay premiums under this insurance.
You must not be working in any workplace within the scope of 4A SSK and must not have records such as tax registration, company partnership, farming registration.
Optional insurance for housewives (4B)
Our housewives who make and sell products such as handicrafts, knitting and ornaments at home can be insured on demand. If premiums are paid within the scope of the housewife insurance, the premiums paid are considered as bond-currency services. The insurance branch with which the lowest premium can be paid optionally is the housewife’s optional insurance. In order to be a housewife optional insurance;

Pension fund optional participation (4C)
In the event that persons who have served as civil servants quit the job after working for at least 10 years or are deemed to be retired, within six months after leaving the Office of Civil Servant, subparagraph (a) (SSK) and (b) (Bağkur) of the first paragraph of Article 4 of the Law No. 5510 It is possible to continue to pay voluntary premiums within the scope of the pension fund and retire in this branch by applying in writing within six months from the date of termination of their compulsory insurance. It should be noted that in the calculation of the 10-year period, the calculation is made without considering the actual service period increase, nominal service period, periods with unpaid leave, service borrowings and similar periods.
